About Puri

Puri is one of the four sacred Char Dham pilgrimage sites for Hindus, primarily famous for the Jagannath Temple. This massive temple complex is the epicenter of the city's spiritual life and hosts the world-renowned Rath Yatra (Chariot Festival), where the deities are pulled on colossal, elaborately decorated chariots. Besides its religious significance, Puri is also a popular beach destination with a long, golden-sand beach on the Bay of Bengal. The beach is lively, with sand art displays and bustling markets.
