Famed as 'Asia's Cleanest Village,' Mawlynnong is a small, picturesque village that offers a unique insight into community-based ecotourism. The villagers have collectively worked to maintain the cleanliness and beauty of their surroundings, with bamboo dustbins placed at every corner. The village is incredibly charming, with manicured gardens and pretty houses. A key attraction is the Sky View, a bamboo watchtower that offers panoramic views of the village and the plains of Bangladesh. The village also has a living root bridge, which is more easily accessible than those in Cherrapunji.
