Known as the 'Steel City of India,' Jamshedpur is one of the country's first and best-planned industrial cities, founded by Jamsetji Tata. It is home to the first private iron and steel company in India, Tata Steel. Despite being an industrial city, Jamshedpur is remarkably green and well-maintained, with wide, tree-lined avenues and beautiful parks. Key attractions include the serene Jubilee Park, modeled on the Brindavan Gardens of Mysore, the Tata Steel Zoological Park, and the Dimna Lake, a popular picnic spot.
