About Unakoti

Unakoti is an ancient Shaivite pilgrimage site famous for its massive rock-cut sculptures and stone carvings of Hindu deities. Literally meaning 'one less than a crore,' it's a place shrouded in myth and legend, set amidst a lush green landscape with waterfalls. The central Shiva head, known as Unakotiswara Kal Bhairava, is about 30 feet high.
