Located amidst the dense forests of the Sahyadri mountain range, Kuntala Falls is the highest waterfall in the state of Telangana. The Kadam River cascades down a series of rocks from a height of about 45 meters, creating a spectacular sight, especially during the monsoon season. According to local legend, the waterfall was named after Shakuntala, the beloved of King Dushyanta. The area surrounding the falls is lush and green, making it a beautiful spot for picnics and nature photography.
