About Keibul Lamjao National Park
Located on the Loktak Lake, the Keibul Lamjao National Park is the only floating national park in the world. This unique wetland ecosystem is the last natural habitat of the critically endangered Sangai, or the Brow-antlered deer, which is also the state animal of Manipur. The deer are often called 'dancing deer' because of the way they balance on the floating phumdis. A visit to the park offers a rare opportunity to see this unique ecosystem and its endangered species. The park is best explored from a viewpoint on a nearby hill.Explore more destinations in Manipur.
