Jowai is the headquarters of the West Jaintia Hills district and is a scenic town surrounded by beautiful landscapes. It is a gateway to some of Meghalaya's most beautiful and offbeat attractions. The main highlight near Jowai is the Krang Suri waterfall, known for its stunning, crystal-clear blue plunge pool. The area is also home to the Nartiang Monoliths, the largest collection of monoliths in a single area, which hold significant cultural and historical importance for the Jaintia people. Jowai offers a glimpse into the culture and natural beauty of the Jaintia Hills.
