Located at a breathtaking altitude of over 17,000 feet, Gurudongmar Lake is one of the highest lakes in the world. Situated in North Sikkim, this high-altitude lake is considered sacred by both Buddhists and Sikhs. The lake is known for its stunning, crystal-clear blue waters, which are believed to have healing powers. A portion of the lake remains unfrozen even in extreme winters, a phenomenon considered a miracle by devotees. The journey to the lake is arduous but rewards visitors with surreal and spectacular views of the Tibetan plateau.
