About Sela Pass

The Sela Pass is a high-altitude mountain pass that connects the Tawang district to the rest of the country. Located at an elevation of over 13,000 feet, the pass is a breathtakingly beautiful and spiritually significant place. It is often covered in snow for a large part of the year. The pass is home to the stunning Sela Lake, a sacred lake for Tibetan Buddhists. The journey through the Sela Pass is an adventure in itself, offering spectacular views of the snow-capped Himalayan peaks and a dramatic, winding road.
