It is known for its incredible biodiversity and its scenic beauty, with the Manas River flowing through the park. The park is a Project Tiger reserve, an elephant reserve, and a biosphere reserve. It is home to a variety of rare and endangered species, including the golden langur and the pygmy hog. Manas offers a more remote and wilder experience compared to Kaziranga.
