Uttar Pradesh
Known as the 'City of Nawabs,' Lucknow is the capital of Uttar Pradesh and a city renowned for its gracious hospitality, rich cultural heritage, and exquisite cuisine. The city's golden age was under the Nawabs of Awadh, who were great patrons of art, music, and architecture. This legacy is visible in its magnificent monuments, such as the Bara Imambara with its incredible labyrinth (Bhulbhulaiya), and the elegant Chota Imambara. Lucknow is also famous for its delicate Chikankari embroidery and the mouth-watering Awadhi cuisine, especially its kebabs and biryanis.
